Friday January 20, AGM 7:00 pm; dinner 7:30
To liven up the Annual General Meeting, we are having it on a Friday night, followed by a buffet featuring paella and matching that with a selection of wines from the Lisbon area. Now, that’s something to look forward to!
We have asked Lisbon By Night to create a paella to complement the wines. Our dinner will allow you to match wines with dishes from the buffet. Which matches work best? The opportunity to try is yours. Join us for an interesting evening with wines represented in the LCBO.
Before the dinner, the club will hold is official Annual General Meeting. At that time, events will be reviewed, accolades given and directors elected.
As well, you can get all your questions about the 2012 Douro Wine Tour answered.
Please note that confirmed members and guests are responsible for event fees if not cancelled by Friday, January 13 at 416 233 7846.

Come out and have some food and fun. Taste and Try Before You Buy – an event that brings together agents representing a wide range of Portuguese wines which are available for delivery before the holidays.
Not buying? You can just come and enjoy the wide selection of wines being presented and graze through the buffet of appetizer-sized portions presented by the chefs at Via Norte.
Taste the wines, decide what you like, and place your order on the spot for delivery to your home or office. One holiday season problem easily solved.

Winemaker Joao Barbosa @ Via NorteThursday, October 20
For our October event we worked with 30.50 Imports Inc. a boutique wine agency based inToronto. It was established with the aim of importing fine wines fromPortugal. They are passionate ambassadors of their suppliers.
Vintner Joao Barbosa will join us and lead the discussion. His firm produces wine in the Alentejo and Ribatejo regions. We will have 6 table wines and a Moscatel. Tasting notes are on the next page.
